Afghanistan
I spent three weeks travelling in rural Afghanistan. The goal was to capture natural portraits of people's everyday working lives. I travelled to the Panjshir valley near Kabul and north to Bamiyan, the infamous valley where the Taliban destroyed the ancient Buddhas. I also went west to Herat where I photographed Pashtun nomads.
