Originally from London, Alex's photographic assignments have led him to some of the remotest parts of the Himalayan region.
Alex was shortlisted as a finalist in the 2009 Travel Photographer of the Year competition. His photography has also been shown in exhibitions in Madrid, Stockholm, Barcelona and Kathmandu. His work has appeared in travel magazines around the world, including National Geographic.
He has recently completed five photographic portfolios for the Kathmandu-based International Centre for Integrated Mountain Development (ICIMOD). For this project he travelled in Pakistan, India, China, Nepal and Bhutan to capture both portraits of the people living in these regions and the mountainous landscapes. His next assignment will take him to Myanmar.
Alex lives and works as a photographer and graphic designer in Kathmandu.
