Originally from London, Alex's photographic assignments have led him to some of the remotest parts of the Himalayan region.
He has recently completed three photographic portfolios for the Kathmandu-based International Centre for Integrated Mountain Development (ICIMOD). For this project he travelled in Pakistan, India and Nepal to capture both portraits of the people living in these regions and the mountainous landscapes.
Alex's work has also been shown in an exhibition about the Changing Himalayas in Madrid, Stockholm, Barcelona and Kathmandu. He has also recently worked with a National Geographic photographer on a project for the new Great Himalayan Trail.
Alex lives and works as a photographer and graphic designer in Kathmandu.

HIMEX Everest Expedition 2009
On the 12th April 2009 I arrived at Everest base camp to work on a photography project about how Everest changes people. The following selection of images are not part of the book (more about that later). I have put this collection together to capture the atmosphere at base camp, the beauty of the surrounding area and some of the more emotional moments during the expedition.
